Ellen Allien releases her 7th solo album on 12th May
Music has always been a hobby for Ellen Allien. She sees running her label BPitch Control, which is regarded as one of Berlin’s most important emblems, as a hobby rather than a business.
She has launched a series of events called Vinylism, where she plays vinyl only sets at her favourite record stores around the world. She chooses records from the stores and invites audiences to hang out and enjoy the music in a more intimate environment. The events are free, and will also be streamed via BPitch Control’s Facebook page.
She releases Nost, her 7th solo album next week on vinyl and CD. It is named after the sentiment nostalgia, features Allien’s own vocals and relates to her past, present and future and is a reflection of how she sees and feels dancefloors around the world. The 9 tracks on the album keep up the pace throughout and if you love Ellen Allien’s sets then you will also love this album. Nost is released on BPitch on 12th May and no doubt there will be some great remixes to follow. Listen to the album on her soundcloud page here:
