Hail and welcome. It’s just me tonight. I’ve had a bit of a catastrophic equipment failure in a club. Specifically, the headphone socket on my Traktor S2 has packed in and I’m going to have to post it back to Germany which is very annoying.
Hello, good evening and welcome. We’re back again with another instalment of The Precipice, this time a little tech-house special featuring an old friend of mine from Venezuela, Dave Delgado.
We met some time around 2000, not long after he had his own show in Caracas, playing hard acid techno and the like. He’s since calmed down a fair bit, is now a professional bass guitarist, and writes and plays deep/tech-house.
Greetings again, fellow travellers. I nearly didn’t make the show as I was stuck in a hospital waiting room for moons. Bit of a funny week, really.
This time around there’s no psytrance or DNB, I’m afraid. Just some deep tech-house with a tribal edge, veering eventually into techno, followed by a broad array of mostly quite old breakbeat. I still haven’t sorted out my microphone problems, but I am on the case and once I am broadcasting using two computers, it’ll all be fine.

This week’s guest is Argentinian born, Berlin based Nico Purman. His mix was recorded live at the Watergate Club Berlin on 22nd September. Watergate was established in 2002 and is known for it’s wall-to-wall LED light installation and its impeccable music policy.
